The fact that LiveJournal has changed everything around for today is just AWESOME.
Which caused me to go, "Oh, right, today's international-talk-like-a-pirate-day!" Let's UPDATE THE CAPTAIN'S LOG!!
to which I say,
BUT WHERE HAS THE RUM GONE?
and tht GMC definitely has some piraters. One girl (at least at 11.00 this morning on my way to calculus) was dressed in pirate gear and running madly about campus screaming in pirate-talk and trynig to get other people to talk like a pirate. I managed not to get accosted. It was excellent.
And now I'll be done with that topic.

My laptop, has, indeed, gone off to Apple Land of Repairs (if, in fact, DHL got to the right place to pick it up; I haven't received any phone calls, so I'm assuming it got there. I'll check tomorrow to make sure, I didn't have the time today while the mail room was open due to my skanky-ass Tuesday schedule. So, you might ask yourself, where am I? I'm in the basement of Withey (I don't care if it actually has an 'e' in it, I like it that way) by the Gorge, in the computer lab, where the computers run Windows ME. *twitch* It's hard enough getting accustomed to using a PC again, nevermind such an absolutely ancient one. The keyboard is so...bizarre. Oh well. Fact of the matter is, I'm actually *here*, and pried myself out of my cosy little room (where I was organizing all of my beads; I made it through all the big ones. Now I'm onto seed beads. That's where the real fun lies, I tell you!) and into the dreary rainy night and into the (relatively cosy) warmth of Withey.

Ernest and I went down to the river last night just to hang out and see the stars and we got all philosophical. I think it was a life-altering experience. All day today I've had these little revelations that are like little firecrackers of lightbulbs firing off in my head. It's awesome, even though they probably wouldn't make sense to anybody else.

Also dragged myself to a meeting that I really did NOT want to go to but was "highly recommended" by Natalie Coe [environmental science teacher, henceforth 'Natalie'] as we're writing grant propsoals and this was all about them, and getting your actual application, etc. etc. etc....There were a whopping four of us there. Five counting the leader. It was about 10 minutes long. Really exciting, let me tell you. */sarcasm*

Eh...I don't think there's anything else going on...got the roommate-consolidation-meeting conflictoin all settled, they're just going to find somebody for me, apparently. Oh joy. This is going to be GREAT. [IT'S NOT MY GODDAMN FAULT THAT MY ROOMMATE DECIDED NOT TO COME! LET ME KEEP MY SINGLE, DAMMIT! I DON'T HAVE $1000 TO PAY!]
